In Fayette County over 20,000 people are at risk of hunger and one in five children do not know when or where their next meal will be provided. Because of this great need, Fayette County Community Action Agency, Inc. (FCCAA) will be holding its 7th Annual Empty Bowls event on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at the Ramada by Wyndham located at 700 West Main Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.

The Empty Bowls event is modeled after an international grassroots effort to fight hunger. For the event, hundreds of handcrafted ceramic bowls will be created and donated by local groups and individuals of all ages. During the event, each attendee (with the purchase of their ticket) will choose a handmade bowl to keep. In addition to the bowl, attendees will receive a bowl of homemade soup, a slice of bread, and a drink. Menu items will be donated from top local restaurants and chefs and served by local politicians and celebrities. There will also be live music, entertainment, and raffles. For every dollar raised through the event, our Food Bank can purchase ten dollars in food items!

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door on the day of the event. Children under 5 years old are free WITHOUT receiving a homemade ceramic bowl. Tickets will be available to purchase online until Thursday, April 23, 2020.

You will receive 1 homemade bowl per ticket purchased. You can purchase additional homemade bowls at the event for $10 per bowl. Children under 5 are free to attend the event, but will not receive a homemade bowl unless they purchase a ticket.
